1. Review of Feature Request List

Discussion of consistent and useful Header markup
Discussion: This one is already in the planning We are going
through different pages and evaluating the page using

WebCT. There are two major issues here. Indicating major
topics and navigation bars. Important that users can

differentiate these two important structures.

a. Headers should indicate the major topics contained on the
current page

b. Navigation bars need to be eay to navigate to and allow
people to identify the purpose of the navigation bar on the

page. Issues related to having one or more than one
navigation bar on the pages and the use of header markup to

indicate the beginning of a navigation bar or to use markup
like the MAP element to provide a means in markup and

therefore user agents and ATs providing access.

c. Discussion of TABINX as a means to control navigation order

RD: I will check into making making a development server
available for user testing and feedback

2. Discussion of marking up language changes in WebCT,
especially quizes

Lanny Arvan are reported that UIUC is in the process of
porting Spanish language course materials and there is a small

window of opportunity to make sure the language information is
included in WebCT. Other participants reported this is

a serious problem and there is know know solution in the
current WebCT product.

Actions: I will look into the status of the changes and see if
there is a patch
HR, PK, MT Action: Write up problem send to WebCT
accessibility discussion list
RD" WIll look into an availability of a patvh to provide a
solution to the problem
